Students at Somaiya Vidyavihar University (SVU), Mumbai launched the first Plant-Based Campus (PBC) campaign in India. The initiative calls on the university administration, its catering providers, and affiliated organisations to transition to a 100% plant-based food system to address the climate and environmental crises.

Linköping University (LiU) doctoral candidate and Plant-Based Campus LiU co-coordinator, Manuel Santana, has been awarded the “Engaged Student of the Year 2026” Award during this year’s Engagemangshögtiden, recognising his contributions to sustainability, student engagement, and community-building across LiU.
